Jubilee is the name given to a particular year that was intended to be marked as a time to re-establish a proper relationship with God, with one another, and with all of creation. In 1300, Pope Bonifacio VIII called the first Giubileo, also known as a Holy Year, since it is a time in which God's holiness transforms us. The way in which Jubilee Years are marked has also changed through the centuries: originally the Holy Year consisted of a pilgrimage to the Roman Basilicas of St. Peter and St. Paul, later other signs were added, such as the Holy Door. By participating in the Holy Year, one is granted a plenary indulgence.
The Jubilee began the 24th December 2024 and more than 30 million pilgrims from all over the world will come to Rome to receive the plenary indulgence from Pope Francesco. During the year of the Jubilee 2025, concerts, cultural events and exhibitions will be organised to celebrate Rome's rich history and art, offering to pilgrims a complete experience combining faith, art, culture and spirituality. Hotel Bramante with it's excellent position near St.Peter and the long experience about these events, will offer you an opportunity to live not only a time for religious reflection, but also to immerse yourself in the beauty and diversity of the eternal city.
